The cemented crown completely encloses the entire visible part of the tooth above the gingival line. Procedures in preparing tooth for a crown

At the first visit, decay is removed through the root canal if needed and the outer part of the tooth is shaved down to fit the crown.
Impressions of your tooth is taken to create an accurate model for your crown. We will place a temporary crown while the permanent has been created.
At the second visit, the temporary crown will be removed and we check the fit and color of the permanent crown. If everything is acceptable the new crown is permanently cemented in place.
